- When you get the license email, save the attachement somewhere convenient, as you will need it later.

- Take care to follow any special instructions here and make sure to read the "Read_Me_First" file included with the package for any special notes.
- If you have issues with installing, please email the program support contact listed here.
- For convenience, use the Finder to locate the us3_somo.exe in /Applications/ultrascan3/bin/ and drag it to your Launcher. Once installed and running, the first time you run it, it will likely ask to install several ".new" files, simply click "OK", and the files will be installed and the program will exit.
- At this point, run the US-SOMO program by clicking the US-SOMO icon again, then click the "SAXS/SANS" button to open up the SAS module, then click the "HPLC" button to open up the HPLC module as shown here.
Other options
- N.B.: We recommend you use a US2 version if possible, as it has greater performance, especially when working with the HPLC-SAXS tools (seemingly due to bloat of "upgraded" underlying libraries, but we have plans to fully migrate to US3 once the performance bottlenecks have been optimized).
- One can utilize a Virtual Machine manager such as VirtualBox to install Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS 64 bit or Windows as a guest and then follow the approriate instructions for US2 versions above.
- US3 versions are available for Windows, generic Linux 32 and 64 bit and from source code. Details are here.
Navigating to the HPLC module
- First click on the "SAXS/SANS" button
- Then click on the "HPLC" button to enter the HPLC module
